The Natural Step Israel is a social benefit nonprofit corporation operating since 2012. Its purpose is to assimilate strategic sustainability in Israeli society from a perspective of innovation and quality. The basis of our work includes a scientific and practical approach to strategic planning for sustainability and combining innovative tools and concepts from the worlds of design and the behavioral economy.

Food waste is a global problem that causes social, economic and environmental damage that affects us all. In Israel, about 2.5 million tons of food are thrown away every year, half of which is edible.
The Food Waste Lab works in cooperation between all the relevant stakeholders, with the aim of leading a systemic and significant change in reducing food waste.
